Program Description

Across the globe, communities, companies, and countries face serious threats, from terrorism, cyberattacks, and natural hazards to migration, climate change, and pandemics. Northeastern University's Master of Science in Resilience Studies is a first-of-its-kind program that gives you the skills and experience to tackle these dangers and make organizations and society resilient to ever-evolving challenges. 

Based in Boston, you'll learn from experts and authorities in the field to create and deploy strategic approaches to threats and proactively collaborate with critical partners. As a graduate, you'll be prepared to lead resiliency efforts in private companies, nonprofits, and government organizations.

As a student in the MS in Resilience Studies program, you'll have the option to participate in co-ops at organizations like Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Climate XChange, the Global Resilience Institute, and Apex Systems. 

Individually tailored capstone projects can connect you with client institutions like Logan Airport and the U.S. Marshals Service. 

You may also have opportunities to engage in extended research projects with faculty members.
