The Master of Science in Information Systems–Bridge program is designed to prepare those with non-STEM or nontechnical bachelor’s degrees, or those who want to strengthen their technical backgrounds, to enter the information systems field. Integrating business management, software engineering, and information technology, the program prepares students to design innovative software solutions that fit the complexities of the business world while solving the humanistic needs of the people who use them.

Offered jointly by the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences, the MS in Climate Science and Engineering prepares students to tackle the inherently multidisciplinary challenges that climate change presents for both natural and engineered systems.

Northeastern University’s Master of Science in Bioinformatics provides cross-disciplinary training in biology, computer science, and data analytics—along with real-world experience. The program prepares graduates to play pivotal roles in today’s cutting-edge life science, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries focused on genomics, proteomics, personalized medicine, drug discovery, and cancer therapy.

The Master of Science in Bioinformatics seeks to provide students with core knowledge in bioinformatics programming, integrating knowledge from the biological, computational, and mathematical disciplines.

The challenges posed in building a sustainable relationship between civilization and the earth system are inherently complex and multidisciplinary. The Graduate Certificate in Sustainability Engineering is geared at providing those who have computational literacy but do not have an engineering background with knowledge and skills to collaborate effectively with engineers.

Climate change is a defining challenge of the 21st century. This three-course Certificate in Climate and Engineering provides students with the foundational knowledge of how climate change will impact engineered systems and approaches for adaptation at multiple scales.
