The MS in Urban Informatics is training a new generation of experts who can navigate the technical and socioeconomic landscape on which life in the city unfolds. With classes 100% online, the program couples comprehensive data analytics skills with an understanding of the big questions faced by cities in the 21st century. Only a handful of U.S. universities currently offer degrees in Urban Informatics. Northeastern's interdisciplinary curriculum, leading faculty, experiential opportunities, and its prime location at the heart of Boston set the university apart from other institutions.

The Master of Science in Urban and Regional Policy combines training in theories and frameworks of urban development with an understanding of urban politics, and skills in policy analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, and strategic action. Many of our graduates go on to work for state and local government, federal agencies, community development corporations, and other nonprofit organizations, research institutes, and private sector policy consultancy firms.
The MA in International Affairs is a challenging and interdisciplinary program dedicated to preparing tomorrow’s global citizens and leaders by combining theories, concepts, and methodologies from a range of disciplines with study abroad and experiential learning opportunities in Boston, across the country, and around the world.
The Master of Arts program in History is one of the leading master’s programs nationally that focuses on world history as a primary field. Our 19 full-time faculty members introduce students to a range of historical questions and methodologies and guide students in carrying out extensive research projects. Through courses spanning the globe, students learn to put the past in context and to discern its crucial relevance to current conditions and future possibilities at the local, national, and global levels.
The Master of Arts Degree launches students into the study of literature, writing, and rhetoric at the graduate level. The program offers two years of intensive study in the major fields of British and American literature, covering the debates and approaches that animate the discipline of English.
